Operational data of the group “Information Resistance”
During the last week, the most intense fire strikes by Russian occupation forces were inflicted on the positions of Ukrainian troops near the settlements of Schastye, Luganskoye, Troitskoe, Verkhnetoretskoye, Avdeevka, Peski, Vodyanoe and Shirokino. In addition, the enemy systematically fired on the units of the AFU from small arms in the area Stanitsa Luganskaya, which is a violation of the agreement on the separation of forces in this area.
The enemy continued to actively conduct reconnaissance of the combat formations of the ATO forces with the use of UAVs. During the week, up to 15 UAV flights were recorded, including 3 of them – flights of UAV Orlan-10, which were carried out with a flight in the operational-tactical depth of the defense of the ATO forces.
In order to prevent registering the facts of the violation of the Minsk agreements by the representatives of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission, the command of “1st Army Corps DNR” and “2nd Army Corps LNR” of the operational group of Russian occupation forces imposed restrictions on the movement of military equipment near the demarcation line in the daytime and took measures to conduct additional activities on camouflage. In addition, in order to limit the movement of representatives of the OSCE mission, false sign plates on the mining of the terrain are being placed on the route of their movement, especially in areas where the enemy is equipping new positions.
Within the winter training period, the enemy intensively conducts combat training activities at the “Tsentralniy”, “Slavniy”, “Udarniy” and “Primorskiy” training ranges, practicing issues of coordinating the actions of units and their interaction both in defense and in offense.
To ensure the terrorist activity of units and formations “1st Army Corps DNR” and “2nd Army Corps LNR”, about 1800 tons of petroleum products were delivered from the territory of Russia during the week.
In terms of firing on the positions of the AFU and civilian objects, the occupants finally switched to “night mode”. They actively use 120 mm mortars, sometimes single tanks, barrel artillery (3-4 units of 122 mm artillery – mostly D-30/30A howitzers, or 2-3 units of 122 mm self-propelled guns type 2С1 “Carnation”).
The HQ of 1st Army Corps DNR “found an explanation” of “the presence of US and other NATO troops in the ATO zone”. According to the “military intelligence” of the invaders, they allegedly came to assess the level of training of the personnel from one of the mechanized brigades of the AFU, which was previously trained by “NATO instructors” and recently arrived in the Gorlovka area. According to the militants, this brigade “will take exams” in the form of performing some specific practical tasks.
The units and subunits of the “2nd Army Corps LNR” urgently need riflemen, machine gunners, sappers, drivers (category C) and combat medics. “Military enlistment offices” of “LNR” got the task to ensure the recruitment of personnel with these military registration specialties for “contract service”, as soon as possible.
The unresolved issue of coal supplies to Zuevskaya TPP is exacerbated between DNR and LNR, which could lead to shutdown of this power plant and cause an energy crisis in the LDNR. In particular, there are only about 4 thousand tons of coal in the warehouse of Zuevskaya TPP (necessary 30 thousand tons until the end of the heating season), which is suitable for full-fledged use. This situation is due to the presence a significant debt in LNR of to DNR for the consumed electricity, which makes it impossible to purchase the necessary amount of coal. In this regard, the power station resorted to mixing of coal with other brands that are not intended for use at TPP. Such actions lead to an acceleration of wear and tear on the plant equipment and further problems with its operation.
The occupation Russian authority of “LNR” has intensified propaganda work with young people living both in the temporarily occupied territory and in the territory of the Lugansk region, which is under Ukrainian control. It is planned to adopt “laws” on the foundations of state youth policy and on the system of patriotic education of citizens of the LNR by the so-called “The People’s Council of the LNR” In the first quarter of 2018. In addition, the so-called “The Council of Ministers of the LNR” has developed and will have to adopt “republican” programs for “spiritual education of students of the LNR until 2020” and “patriotic education of the younger generation of LNR until 2020” in the near future. It is also planned to conduct 3,169 events involving schoolchildren and students permanently residing in the LNR and in the territory of the Lugansk region, which is under the control of Ukraine. It is proposed to use widely social networks to involve young people from unoccupied territory.
The dissatisfaction with the situation associated with the termination of the mobile operator Vodafone is growing in the “DNR”. At the same time, according to the IR group, this situation is connected with the position of the “Minister of incomes and fees of the DNR” A. Timofeev (“Tashkent”), who personally is interested in the disconnection of the mobile network, as he receives a part of the profits from the operator of the invaders “Phoenix”.
