Operational data of the Information Resistance group
During October 8 and 15 of this year, armed groups of the Russian occupation forces in the Donbas continued to shell the positions of units and subunits of the Joint Forces (JF), as well as settlements located in Ukraine-controlled territory.
At the same time, the intensity of fire strikes by the enemy remained at the same high level. In total, during this period, units from 1st and 2nd Army Corps of the Russian occupation forces carried out 166 fire raids (for comparison, 184 were fixed last week).
In the course of shelling and armed provocations, the enemy actively used automatic small arms, heavy machine guns, handle and mounted grenade launchers, ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft systems, ATGMs and standard armament of armored combat vehicles (mainly BMP-1/2). In addition, there have been separate cases of using weapons by the occupants that are subject to restrictions in accordance with the provisions of the Minsk Agreements. In particular, 100-mm and 122-mm artillery systems, 120/82-mm mortars were used.
Basically, the enemy opened fire in order to disclose combat formations of the advanced JF units and subunits, as well as the system for organizing and conducting return fire. However, there were recorded cases of firing by the enemy with provocative propaganda purposes, with the aim of maintaining fire superiority in selected areas, as well as with the aim of unconditionally inflicting losses in manpower and equipment to advanced JF units by intensive and regular, targeted fire exposure at their positions for a long time. To this end, the command of the occupation group strengthened a number of its advanced units in separate areas with sniper groups and calculations of heavy infantry weapons (mounted grenade launchers, 82-mm mortars and ATGMs).
Such groups were active in the Volnovakha, Bakhmut and Mariupol directions.
In this case, the most powerful and intense fire attacks were carried out by the enemy on the positions of Ukrainian troops in the area of next settlements: Krymskoye, Khutor Volny, Zolotoye, Petrovskoye, Luganskoye, Travnevoye, Novoluganskoye, Gladosovo, Shumy, Zaitsevo, Novgorodskoye, Avdeevka, Opytnoye, Peski, Krasnogorlovka, Novotroitskoe and Shirokino.
In addition, the enemy continued active aerial reconnaissance with the use of UAVs for timely and accurate detection of changes in the combat formations of the Joint Forces. In total, from October 8 to October 15, 12 reconnaissance UAV reconnaissance flights of the enemy were detected visually, as well as by means of radar control over airspace and radio-technical reconnaissance equipment, including 3 flights of UAV Orlan-10, which, in violation of the provisions of the Minsk Agreements, were made by crossing the contact line by air and deepening the indicated UAVs in the airspace over the Joint Forces combat formations to the operational and tactical depth. At the same time, the enemy command concentrated special attention on clarifying the operational situation, changes in the combat formations and the location of the reserves of JF forces and means in the Volnovakha and Avdeevka directions.
Despite the agreements reached on the start of the separation of armed units, the enemy carried out a number of provocative shelling of JF units in the area of the settlement Zolotoye and Petrovskoye from October 7 to 10 this year, which led to a breakdown in the separation of forces. After that, the Russian occupation forces carried out demonstrative actions to shoot signal missiles, ostensibly indicating their readiness to withdraw from their positions and attracted representatives of the Russian media and the OSCE Mission to fixation of these actions.
During the week, the command of the occupation group organized and carried out the following events in the field of combat training and improving the level of combat readiness:
– October 8-12, units of the 1st and 2nd Army Corps of the RF Armed Forces carried out a planned change of radio data in radio networks and radio links of the tactical level of the control and notification systems in order to prevent information leakage and ensure the stability of covert troop control;
– On October 13, training was held for system alerting personnel of units of the 1st and 2nd Army Corps of the RF Armed Forces, using both the military communications system and from the “civilian sector”;
– On a number of military training grounds (Yuzhny, Tsentralniy-1 and Tsentralniy-2), the command of the occupation group conducts active measures to deploy field control points for a number of units from the 1st and 2nd Army Corps of the RF Armed Forces in order to improve the stability of the system of covert control of troops (forces). These activities are carried out covertly, with the involvement of a limited number of personnel and the widespread use of a variety of disguise means.
– On October 14, according to the unified plan of the Southern Military District of the RF Armed Forces, joint tactical exercises of the units from the 1st and 2nd Army Corps started at the “Yuzhny”, “Tsentralny-1” and “Tsentralny-2” military training grounds under the leadership of the commanders of these Army Corps. These exercises are carried out with the aim of increasing the level of interaction between the Corps and developing a unified plan for the combat use of units in a hypothetical joint operation of an operational-tactical scale. During the exercises, the priority issue will be the interaction of the bodies of the operational control of the troops (forces) of the Corps, as well as the test of their ability to respond to the suddenly arising tasks of the combat employment of troops in a complex operational and tactical situation, which is rapidly changing.
In addition, the enemy continued to improve the engineering and fortification equipment of his advanced positions along the entire contact line throughout the week. At the same time, the enemy command paid special attention to engineering equipment, camouflage the positions of precisely the advanced positions, as well as to areas of concentration and deployment of tactical reserves. Also, in a number of sectors, the command of the occupation forces was quite actively engaged in equipping shelters for the personnel of their armed formations.
Also, active work continues in the units of the 1st and 2nd Army Corps on preparing equipment for the autumn-winter period of operation. In particular, the acceptance of applications from units and subdivisions for receiving and spending material and technical means necessary for carrying out the indicated work has been continued, as well as the staffing of work teams is continuing and the work schedules are being specified.
In the period from October 8 to October 15 of this year, confirmed losses of the Russian occupation forces in the Donbas amounted to 2 people:
1st Army Corps – 1st separate mechanized brigade (Kalmius) – 1 serviceman; 9th separate mechanized regiment (Novoazovsk) – 1 serviceman.
To ensure daily activities and stockpiling of units from the 1st and 2nd Army Corps, about 600 tons of fuel and lubricants (railway station Rovenki) and at least 200 tons of other items of material and technical supply were delivered from Russian territory during the period from October 8 to October 15 this year.
