Operational data of the “Information Resistance” group
In the period from October 16 to October 22 of this year, armed groups from the Russian occupation grouping in the Donbas continued to carry out fire attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops and settlements in Ukraine-controlled territory. The level of their intensity remained at the same high level. In total, during this period, units of the 1st and 2nd operational groups of the occupying forces carried out 133 fire raids on these targets (for comparison, 166 were recorded last week).
During the shelling and armed provocations, the enemy used automatic small arms, heavy machine guns, handle and mounted grenade launchers, standard armament of armored combat vehicles (mainly BMP-1/2), as well as anti-tank systems and anti-aircraft systems of the ZU-23- 2 type.
In addition, episodic use of 100 mm and 122 mm artillery systems, 120/82 mm mortars by the enemy was recorded which a direct violation of the Minsk agreements is.
To qualitatively increase the level of fire impact on the positions of the JF units, the enemy command additionally strengthened their advanced subunits with sniper groups, mortar units or separate mortar calculations, as well as calculations of anti-tank systems, machine-gun grenade launchers and heavy machine guns. The actions of such groups were noted in Severodonetsk, Toretsk, Volnovakha and Mariupol directions.
The enemy delivered fire attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops in the area of next settlements: Zolotoye, Novozvanovka, Luganskoye, Novoluganskoye, Gladosovo, Zaitsevo, Krimskoye, Troitskoye, Talakovka, Avdeevka, Verkhnetoretskoye, Pavlopol, Taramchuk, Novoselovka Vtoraya, Krasnogorlovka, Zolotoe-4, Peski, Marinka, Vodyanoye, Lebedinskoe, Pavlopol and Shirokino.
Despite the agreements reached on the mutual separating of the armed units of the opposing parties during the meetings o in Minsk, the enemy continued to carry out provocative shelling on the JF units year in the area of Zolotoe-4 and Petrovskoye from October 16 to October 22 this, which in fact led to the breakdown of these agreements. The total number of provocative attacks carried out by the enemy in the area of the settlement Zolotoye-4 was 12 times, and in the area of the settlement Petrovskoe 2 times.
During the reporting period, the command of the occupation group continued to conduct reconnaissance in relation to units of the Joint Forces, including, using technical means (EW, etc.). In addition, the enemy continued active aerial reconnaissance using UAVs to detect changes in the combat formations of the Joint Forces and to clarify the operational situation in the area of the JF operation. In total, from October 16 to 21 this year, 14 reconnaissance flights of enemy UAVs were recorded, including 7 UAVs of the Orlan-10 type, which made with crossing the contact line and entering the airspace over the JF operating formations to the operational and tactical depth. That is a direct and undisguised violation of the Minsk agreements.
During the reporting week the use of digital radio station R-187P1 (“Azart”) for organizing a control system in the tactical link of the 1st and 2nd Army Corps of the RF Armed Forces was revealed by means of JF radio intelligence. These are the 6th generation Russian digital radio stations designed to provide interference-free and reconnaissance-protected classified communications in the tactical link of command and control of troops (forces), capable of providing cryptographic protection of voice and other information in all operating frequency ranges.
R-187P1 (“Azart”) was developed by Angstrem (Russia, Moscow / Zelenograd) and is assembled exclusively from Russian-made components. Its state tests were carried out in the summer of 2012. To date, it is proposed exclusively to the units and subunits from the special departments of the Russian Federation. This fact indicates their direct presence in the combat zone.
During the week, the following events were organized and carried out by their command of the Russian occupation forces in the field of combat training and raising the level of combat readiness of units and subunits of the 1st and 2nd Army Corps:
During the week, trainings were organized and conducted with air defense units, artillery and mortar calculations of the 1st and 2nd Army Corps of the RF Armed Forces from the “duty forces” on deploying to reach advanced firing positions, identifying and tracking conventional air targets, fire control and preparation for delivering massive fire strikes in the JF combat formations;
In order to determine the quality of camouflage and the level of secrecy of the deployment of units and subunits from the occupation group, its command organized and conducted control flights of the UAVs above the positions of their advanced units, as well as the places of deployment of their regular weapons and military equipment;
October 18 this year, joint training firing of artillery units of the 1st and 2nd Army Corps of the RF Armed Forces was organized and conducted at the “Slavny” training ground. At the same time, the main issue that was practiced during the firing was the fire interaction between artillery units.
Joint tactical exercises of units and subunits of the 1st and 2nd Army Corps of the RF Armed Forces were completed at the training grounds “Yuzhny”, “Tsentralny-1” and “Tsentralny-2”. The issues of interaction between units during the conduct of combined arms combat, deployment of command posts, as well as the promotion of units and units from permanent deployment points to concentration areas were worked out;
According to the plan, which was previously approved by the command of the Southern Military District of the RF Armed Forces, work on the transfer of military equipment and weapons to the autumn-winter period of operation began in both Corps. Also, preparations for the heating season have begun at the facilities of the service and barracks fund of the occupying forces, measures are being taken to warm the shelters and dugouts in the forefront;
Since October 21 this year, the commission of the General Staff of the RF Armed Forces began to work in units of the 1st and 2nd Army Corps to verify the protection of state secrets, as well as a commission from the Main Rocket and Artillery Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of the RF Armed Forces to check the storage order and availability of ammunition in warehouses of 1st and 2nd Army Corps of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation;
In accordance with the unified plan of the Southern Military District of the RF Armed Forces, a final check for 2019 has been launched in units of the 1st and 2nd Army Corps since October 21 this year.
To ensure the daily activities of units of the 1st and 2nd Army Corps of the Russian occupation forces, as well as the accumulation of material and technical reserves, about 2,700 tons of fuel and lubricants were delivered from the territory of the Russian Federation to the occupied territory of Donbas from October 16 to October 21 this year for the needs of the occupation group (railway station Rovenki).
In addition, the next 87th so-called “Humanitarian convoy” delivered to the occupied territories about 650 tons of cargo for the needs of the occupation administration and military group.
Other military activity of the occupation group:
The headquarters of the 1st and 2nd Army Corps of the RF Armed Forces are preparing a series of instructions on improving the regime of secrecy and secrecy of operational command and control of troops in connection with “violations” in this area, identified in a number of units. The main “violators” are the 9th, 6th and 11th separate mechanized regiments, the 7th and 5th separate mechanized brigades. The most typical ones were the placement on the Internet of a photo with geo-referencing, the conduct of official negotiations on insecure communications, and the admission of civilians to positions and places of deployment.
The movement of a convoy of 4 army trucks with two 120 mm mortars on a trailer was recorded In the Ozeryanovka area in the direction to the north-east (violation of the Minsk agreements).
Еhe movement of ZU-23-2 in the Urals was recorded In the area of Spartak village, as well as the equipment of new positions for fire weapons along the northern outskirts of the village. Apparently, we are talking about mounted grenade launchers or heavy machine guns.
Over the course of two days, up to 16 units of automobile and armored vehicles proceeded through the Beloye settlement in the direction of southwest and northwest (mostly tilt trucks and up to 6 BMP/BTR).
