Over the past week, the Russian occupation forces in the Donbass have increased the intensity of fire strikes against the positions of the Ukrainian troops and settlements in the territory controlled by Ukraine. In total, during this period, the artillery units of 1st and 2nd Army Corps of the operational grouping of the Russian occupation forces carried out about 270 fire attacks (for the last weekly period – up to 260) by 82/120-mm mortars, 122-mm portable Grad-P rocket launchers, BMP and tanks.
The most intense fire strikes were inflicted on the positions of the Ukrainian troops in the area of settlements: the Krymskoe, Luganskoe, Novoluganskoe, Katerinovka, Novozvanovka, Novotoshkovskoe, Troitskoe, Mayorsk, Shumy, Pivdennoe, Pavlopol, Gnutovo, Vodyanoe, Lebedinskoe and Shirokino.
During the last 24 hours shelling with the use of 152-mm and 122-mm barreled artillery, 120-mm and 82-mm mortars was recorded. All cases were in narrow area on the Mariupol direction – from the Mariupol-Telmanovo highway in the region north of Vodyanoe, to heights north-west of Shirokino. It was noted non-aiming fire, with a large spread, mainly in residential suburbs of settlements Vodyanoe, Lebedinskoe.
The active use of heavy-duty grenade launchers and the standard armament of armored combat vehicles (mainly BMP-1/2) – by the occupiers during shelling is noted in the Bakhmut route area, the outskirts of Gorlovka, west and south of Donetsk (Peski, Krasnogorovka, Dokuchaevsk and to the south).
The intensity of the conduct of aerial reconnaissance by the enemy remained high. So, 11 reconnaissance flights of the UAV of the Armed Forces of the RF were recorded in the period from September 25 to October 1 of this year, including 3 flights of UAV “Orlan-10”, which were carried out with entry into the operational-tactical depth of the defense of the Joint forces. At the same time, the enemy conducted launches of UAVs, coinciding in time and place with the planned flew of UAV of SMM OSCE.
Intensive activity of the EW maneuver groups of occupants along the entire contact line continues, as well as demonstrative actions of the enemy artillery units with access to pre-prepared firing positions.
Russian occupational command issued the order for units and subunits of 1st and 2nd Army Corps, which stated the need to restrict the movement of military equipment, carry out a ceasefire and take additional measures to disguise during the work of the representatives of the SMM OSCE in the forward positions of 1st and 2nd Army Corps, as well as during the SMM OSCE UAV control launches.
Within the framework of a unified plan and system of operational and combat training of the Southern Military District of the RF Armed Forces, occupants conduct shooting, tactical and special training with units and subunits of 1st and 2nd of the Army Corps of the occupying troops in Donbass at the Yuzhniy, Udarniy, Vostochniy, Slavniy and Primorskiy military training grounds.
To ensure the terrorist activities of units and subunits of 1st and 2nd Army Corps of the operational grouping of the Russian occupation forces, about 1,700 tons of fuel and lubricants were delivered from the territory of Russia (railway station Krasnaya Mogila and Semeykino) during last week.
Northeast of Dokuchaevsk, movement of enemy artillery was observed. 3 units of towed 122 mm D-30/30A type guns were fixed on the march during redeployment in the immediate vicinity of Dokuchaevsk.
The new mortar battery (4 units of 82-mm mortar) deployed by the occupiers and disguised in firing positions in the area north-north-east of Novolaspa.
The active movement of army vehicles was between Razdolnoe and Starobeshevo (quite possibly that it is due to Pushilin’s arrival) – 12 units of Ural and Kamaz.
Occupants continue to be strengthened along the northern outskirts of Pervomaika, in the area of the “gas station” engineering works are being carried out to strengthen stronghold points.
Between the Bezymennoe and the Vetryaki, a tank unit of the occupiers was noted on the march – at least 6 tanks. Apparently, the withdrawal of one of the reserve groups to the “storage place”.
In the area of the Prishib and the Smeloe, the movement of armored vehicles of the occupiers was recorded – two groups of 3-4 units of BMP-1 and MT-LB each.
In the area of several border checkpoints that are not controlled by Ukraine – between the “DPR”, the “LPR” and the Russian Federation (Izvarino, Dolzhansky, Marinovka) equipment of the new border barriers from the Russian side is fixed. The barbed wire, blocks, etc is used.
The export of building materials (bricks, doors, windows, roofing) from buildings dismantled in the occupied territory, including residential buildings, is marked from the territory of areas controlled by “LPR” to the Russian Federation. The export is carried out by trucks with the numbers of the Russian Federation, on the territory of the Rostov region (Russia).
After the case with an explosion of children in a minefield established by the invaders, the Russian command sent an order demanding that commanders of units of the occupying forces “have to designate land plots and areas of mining”. This order provoked a mixed reaction among the commanders of the occupying subunits – some of them sarcastically say that in this case, you should immediately “hand over all the mining schemes and maps to the Ukrainian Armed Forces”. In addition, the problem is the lack of information on the installation of minefields at some sites, because the occupiers, while installing it, did not record in documents.
The so-called “The panel of courts of the Supreme Court of the DPR” decided to ban the activities of the religious association “Jehovah’s Witnesses” in the territory controlled by the “DPR” in connection with the alleged implementation of “extremist activity”. This decision completely repeats the actions of law enforcement and judicial authorities of the Russian Federation.
At the end of September, a massive poisoning of the local population with tap water was recorded in Makeyevka (the territory controlled by the “DPR”). At least 100 people were hospitalized to infectious departments of hospitals of Donetsk and Makeyevka with diagnose of intestinal infection. The condition of the victims is assessed as moderate. According to preliminary data, the cause of poisoning was insufficient disinfection of drinking water. Due to the lack of chlorine in the relevant services, disinfection was carried out partially with the use of manganese.
