Operational data of the IR group
Over the last week, the intensity of fire strikes in the Donbas on the positions of Ukrainian troops and settlements on the territory controlled by Ukraine remained high. In total, units of 1st and 2nd Army Corps of the operational group of the Russian occupation forces carried out more than 200 artillery raids (over the past week-period up to 190) from 122-mm artillery systems, 82/120-mm mortars, infantry fighting vehicles and tanks. The most intense fire strikes were inflicted by the enemy on the positions of Ukrainian troops in the vicinity of the settlements Maryinka, Opytnoe, Peski, Troitskoe, Stanitsa Luganskaya, Gnutovo, Novomikhailovka and Vodyanoe.
In addition, on August 6 this year, the enemy fired on the Ukrainian Armed Forces from 122 mm artillery and 120-mm mortar shells in the area of Krymskoe, Talakovka, Vodyanoe, Gnutovo and Lebedinskoe, which is a gross violation of the agreement on the cultivation of forces in this area.
Duty Artillery and Air Defense units of the Russian occupation forces in the Donbas are in an increased level of combat readiness. The artillery units of 1st and 2nd Army Corps of the occupation troops have regular training to study the issues of fire damage to AFU as part of reconnaissance and fire contours. In addition, artillery units of 1st and 2nd Army Corps of occupiers are intensively carrying out activities aimed at replenishing ammunition stockpiles from rocket and artillery armament storages at the expense of parties being transferred from the Russian Federation.
To ensure the activities of units of 1st and 2nd Army Corps of the operational grouping of the Russian occupation forces, about 300 tons of petroleum products were delivered to the “DNR” from the territory of the Russian Federation during the last week (last week in “LNR” – 700 tons of fuel).
The introduction of the “separate battalion of special forces” “Legion” into direct subordination of the 1st Army Corps of the “DNR” is planned in August of this year (now it is subordinated to the “Ministry of Emergency Situations of the DNR”).
During the last week period, the work of journalists from NTV was fixed at 9th separate assault mechanized regiment of naval infantry (Novoazovsk) and 2nd separate mechanized brigade (Lugansk).
The lists of people fit for military service were actively updated during the week in the occupied territories.
The scheduled rotation at the advanced positions of 16 BTRO (the so-called “territorial defense battalion” in the “2nd Army Corps LNR”) should take place at August 16 of this year, on the day of the payment of wages to militants. In this regard, the employees of the so-called “MIA LNR” predicts a sharp deterioration in the criminal situation in the area of the unit’s basement, after which the “MIA LNR” and the command of the “2nd Army Corps LNR” agreed a ban on visiting leisure establishments in the city of Lugansk by militants of the after receiving a salary. However, given the contingent, which is part of the “battalion”, the so-called employees of the “MIA LNR” predict a mass non-compliance by militants of this prohibition and a significant increase in the number of criminal offenses, including the use of firearms and explosives.
There is an increase in arrears in payment of wages in the temporarily occupied territory of the Donetsk region, which leads to the liquidation of enterprises. In particular, at the state enterprise “Artemugol”, indebtedness is 256.4 million rubles, in the Republican unitary enterprise “Ordzhonikidzeugol” – 465.4 million rubles, at the Donbassgulerektrukturizatsiya “- 55.1 million rubles. Currently, the “LNR” has owed more than 100 million rubles to “DNR” for consumed electric energy.
The administration of JSC “Stakhanov Carriage Works” (Kadievka, former Stakhanov, until 2014 – the main Ukrainian producer of freight cars) is trying to restore production and export of products to Russia. However, these intentions are hampered by the fact that the company does not have the appropriate state certificates for freight wagons. A similar situation is observed at the “Transmash” (Lugansk, the production of wheel sets and trolleys for rolling stock of railways), where the validity of the relevant certificates ended in 2015. The Luganskcentrokuz named after M. Monyatovsky is only one enterprise in the “LNR”, which continues to manufacture trolleys and wheel sets, that uses certificates of an unidentified sample received in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In August 7 this year in Alchevsk, Lugansk region, militants, detained pastors of the church “Good News” during the morning service without any explanation and put them to the room of the so-called “MGB LNR”. At 11.00 on the same day they were released, but a “preliminary trial in the court session” was appointed. The pastors were not acquainted with specific accusations.
