IR summary: "Russian response to "Javelins" began to arrive to the "1st AK DNR” from Russia

Operational data of the group “Information Resistance”

The intensity of fire strikes against the positions of Ukrainian troops and settlements on the territory of the Donbas controlled by Ukraine decreased in the period from 4 to 10 July this year. In total, units of the 1st and 2nd Army Corps of the operational group of the Russian occupying forces carried out about 145 artillery raids (over the past week period – about 190) from 122 mm artillery systems, 82/120 mm mortars, 122 mm portable rocket launchers “Grad-P”, BMPs and tanks. The most intense fire strikes were inflicted by the enemy on the positions of Ukrainian troops in the vicinity of settlements: Avdeevka, Maryinka, Krymskoe, Lebedinskoe, Pavlopol, Talakovka, Vodyanoe and Shirokino. In addition, on 4 and 5 July this year, the enemy shelled the Ukrainian Armed Forces from small arms in the area of Stanitsa Luganskaya, which is a violation of the agreement on the cultivation of forces in this area.

In order to prevent the mythical allegedly preparing “large-scale offensive” of the Joint forces, the enemy intensified the activities of its technical reconnaissance assets, as well as the special operation teams along the entire contact line.

The intensity of air reconnaissance by the enemy remained high. In the period from 3 to 9 July this year, 37 reconnaissance flights of the UAV of the RF Armed Forces were recorded, including 17 flights of UAV “Orlan-10”, which were carried out with a flight into the operational-tactical depth of the defense of the Joint forces.

Within the summer training period, in accordance with the unified plan of the Southern Military District of the RF Armed Forces, command and staff exercises were conducted with units and subunits of the 1st and 2nd Army Corps with exercises of practical shooting of air defense units and howitzer artillery at the “Yuzhniy”, “Kruglik” and “Peredovoy” military ranges.

In order to create and prepare a mobilization resource, the Russian occupation command conducts mobilization activities. The servicemen of the reserve through the management of enterprises are given calls about the need to arrive at mobilization camps and take a course of practical classes on tactical and shooting training.

To ensure the activities of units of the 1st and 2nd Army Corps of the operational grouping of the Russian occupation forces, about 2300 tons of petroleum products (railway station Rovenky and Debaltsevo) were delivered in the period from 4 to 10 July this year from the territory of Russia.

Using the ongoing “grain truce” (since July 1 of this year), the enemy intensified the work on improving the engineering equipment of its advanced positions, transferring forces and resources to a number of sectors of the front line to strengthen its units, and systematically conducts training of air defense and duty artillery units in order to work out the questions of applying effective fire destruction to the Joint Forces.

Thus, the qualitative and quantitative strengthening by the invaders of their advanced positions in the Mariupol direction by several armored groups (up to a reinforced tank platoon) is recorded on a number of sectors:

– There is an activity of the reserve armored group of the enemy (6 units of the combat armored vehicles) in the area of Bezymyannoe. Apparently, it is something like a “fire brigade” from the 9th separate mechanized regiment, consisting of 3 BMP-1/2, a pair of BTR-70/80 and an unidentified armored vehicle with anti-cumulative screens;

– The tank group of 3 T-72 tanks operating in the area of Pikuzy performs the same function of the “on-duty” reinforcement. They move only in the dark time of the day (in the light time of the day they stay in overgrown beams to the southeast of the village). If necessary, the reinforcements occupy positions in the southern and western part of the village right in the middle of the private building;

– By the same scheme, the position of the occupiers has been strengthened in the area of Kulikovo-Verkhneshirokovskoe. There is a pair of BMP-2 and at least 2 units of tanks of the T-64 type. To the south, MT-LB was also fixed, equipped with a ZU-23-2 AD system.

– In addition, the redeployment of artillery was fixed in the areas of Kozatskoe and Kachkari during the past week (4 units of 122mm D-30 / 30A guns and 3-122-mm self-propelled guns of 2C1 Gvozdika type were noted).

In general, we can talk about the use of at least a tank company, 3 battery artillery group and motorized rifle company (possibly two), withdrawn in the first line, for use by the invaders in the Mariupol direction to carry out reinforcement in the area from Naberezhnoe to Shirokino . Most likely, this is due to “intel information of 1st Army Corps DNR” about the strengthening of JF UNITS in the Mariupol area and to the north for preparation of the summer “short break” to the state border with Russia north of Novoazovsk and cutting off the “DNR” from the sea (this scenario has recently been widely is discussed at the headquarters of “1st Army Corps DNR”).

Recall that earlier the occupiers in a similar scheme have strengthened their positions on the site Dokuchaevsk – Styla – Petrovskoe – Staromarevka. There, the occupants used the reserve battalion of the 5th separate mechanized brigade for reinforcement.

In the Zaitsevo district (northern and south-western parts), as well as in the vicinity of the railway station Dolomit, the occupants actively conduct engineering work using a truce. The equipment of a number of shelters, caponiers, and trenches is noted. Also, it notes the use of construction and engineering equipment (it is used whenever possible secretly).

The equipment of a number of new artillery positions in the defense zone of the 7th separate mechanized brigade of the 1st Army Corps (in areas south of Kalinovka, southeast of Logvinovo and north of Novogrigorovka) is confirmed. A number of these positions are already occupied, and the artillery is carefully disguised. These are 122-mm guns of the type D-30/30A and 152-mm type D-20/20M. According to the IR group estimates, 6-8 guns of each type have already been deployed (most likely, as an “artillery group on duty”).

In the “1st Army Corps DNR”, the units receive new weapons coming from the Russian Federation, which the commanders of the Corps call “the Russian response to the Javelins”. In particular, a number of units of the 1st Army Corps received the first AT missile system type 9K114 “Shturm-S”. At the moment, 2-3 units of 9P149 combat vehicles (based on the MT-LB, on which the Sturm-C ATGMs are installed) are fixed in the brigades of the 1st Army Corps of the occupation troops. It is planned that specialized anti-tank units in the 5th separate mechanized brigade and Kalmius artillery brigade of the 1st Army Corps of the occupation forces will be equipped with these complexes in the future – 6-8 units each.

In the Gorlovka area, new attempts by the occupiers to conduct PSYOPS actions (information and psychological operations) are noted. So, the Ukrainian servicemen in Gorlovka and Svetlodarsk began to receive SMS of defeatist content (such massive PSYOPS invaders conducted during the battles for Debaltsevo). This time, SMS comes in Ukrainian, however with a lot of gross grammatical errors. The content of SMS “go home until the battalion commander did not let you in for mincemeat” together with the highly distorted Ukrainian language provokes a backlash – sarcasm and contempt, which testifies to the “professionalism” of the occupational PSYOPS specialists.

The command of the 8th Combined Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation switched to arms supplies for the needs of the 1st and 2nd AK of the occupation forces in the Donbas according to the standards of supply of the regular army. Arms and equipment began to be supplied not in bulk, but in bundles for entire units. So, the artillery brigade “Kalmius” of the 1st Army Corps received an additional battery of 122-mm self-propelled guns 2C1 “Gvozdika” for completing one of the divisions. At the same time, transport vehicles and transport and load vehicle arrived, as well as a battery-operated mobile reconnaissance and control complex. This is not the first time, when weapons are delivered from the Russian Federation to the Donbas by “units”.

Russian curators are not removed from the agenda the possibility of changing the leadership of the “DNR”. In this context, attention is drawn to the information campaign launched by the Kremlin aimed at popularizing the idea of returning Donbass to Ukraine under the condition of a “parallel change of power” (the removal of the President and the Government of Ukraine and the top leadership of the “DNR”). Within the framework of this campaign, the leader of the pro-Russian movement “Svoi”, an active participant in the “Russian Spring”, former employee of the” MGB DNR” D.Lotov and former employee of the “GRU MoD DNR” A.Komov take measures to discredit A. Zakharchenko. At the same time, D.Lotov plans to gain control over cells of the Public movement Oplot, operating in the Russian Federation and in the “DNR”.

Heads of “DNR”, at the request of curators from the FSB of the Russian Federation, issued an unspoken order to dismiss of persons from the so-called “State authorities of the DNR” who visit and have relatives in the territory controlled by Ukraine. These people, in the opinion of Russian special services, could be engaged in reconnaissance and subversive activities in the “DNR” by the instructions of the special services of Ukraine.

By the order of Russian curators and with a view to minimizing the negative information resonance in the civilized world around the persecution religious organizations in the occupied regions of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions that do not wish to cooperate with militants, the occupation authorities have moved to implement a new algorithm of action:

– Conducting special information activities on the formation of appropriate public opinion on a particular religious organization;

– initiation of “appeals” from provocateurs of special services to local “authorities” and “law enforcers” with statements about the activities within the religious communities of “extremists who distribute dangerous literature”;

– Conducting of searches, “discovery” of literature (during searches) and the application of punitive measures against members of the religious community by the occupation authorities as a reaction to such “public appeals”.
