IR summary: the occupiers have received a new batch of artillery systems "Nona-K" from the Russian Federation

Operational data of the group “Information Resistance”

Over the last week, despite reached ceasefire agreements since March 30 this year, the intensity of fire strikes on positions of Ukrainian troops and settlements on the territory under Ukraine’s control has increased. In total, the units of the 1st and 2nd Army Corps of the operational group of the Russian occupation forces carried out at least 250 artillery raids (over the past week period – about 65) from 82/120-mm mortars, 122 mm artillery systems, infantry fighting vehicles, tanks during this period. The enemy uses snipers very active in different sectors of the contact line. The tactic of using single “sneaking” mortars is increasingly being used by the invaders.

The most intense fire strikes by the enemy were inflicted on the positions of Ukrainian troops near the settlements Kamenka, Avdeevka, Peski, Opytnoe, Novolugansk, Katerinovka, Gnutovo, Talakovka, Pavlopol, Vodyanoe and Shirokino. In addition, the enemy fired the Ukrainian Armed Forces from small arms in the Stanitsa Luganskaya area on April 1 this year, which is a violation of the agreement on the cultivation of forces in this area.

In order to provoke the AFU for fire attacks, the enemy daily checks the combat readiness of its units and subunits on a number of sites by bringing them to the highest alert of combat readiness, and systematically conducts training with artillery units by demonstrative entry of combat squads to the firing positions and training them to firing.

Confirmed losses of Russian occupation forces in the Donbass amounted to 10 people in the period from March 28 to April 3 this year:

1st Army Corps – 9th separate assault mechanized regiment of naval infantry (Novoazovsk) – 2 servicemen, 3rd separate mechanized brigade (Gorlovka) – 4 servicemen, 11th separate mechanized regiment (Makeyevka) – 4 servicemen.

The maintenance of units of the 1st and 2nd Army Corps of the operational grouping of the Russian occupation forces is continuing: about 500 tons of petroleum products and up to 10 wagons with ammunition were delivered to the railway station Ilovaysk and railway station Krasnaya Mohila from the territory of Russia during the last week period. Also, 8 railway cars with artillery systems (identified as 120-mm 2B16 “Nona-K” guns) and 120-mm mortars arrived to the railway station Ilovaysk.

The combat training activities continue to be intensively carried out in units and subunits of the 1st and 2nd Army Corps of the operational grouping of the Russian occupying forces at the military ranges “Yuzhniy”, “Centralniy”, “Slavniy”, “Udarniy” and “Primorskiy”. They work out the questions of coordination of actions of units during their actions and preparation for final check of the winter period of training. At the same time, for the purpose of monitoring the conduct of the final inspection for the winter period of training, the work of the integrated commission from the General Staff of the RF Armed Forces is planned in the 1st and 2nd Army Corps of the operational grouping of the Russian occupation forces at the end of April this year.

Also in the “2nd Army Corps LNR”, the final training with artillery commanders is conducted on the topic of fire control of batteries (battalions) with practical training of fire missions. In connection with this, , the active movement of 122 mm MLRS BM-21 Grad, barreled and self-propelled artillery has been observed in the Khrustalny area (formerly Krasniy Luch) during the last few days. At least 4 columns of such equipment and weapons were fixed north of the town of Khrustalny in both directions during the last 5 days.

According to the command report, there is a “shortage of diesel fuel” in the “3rd separate mechanized brigade” of the occupation troops (Gorlovka). The brigade is forced to supply units at a minimum, only for combat activities and for “providing everyday needs” in cut-back quantities. According to the report of the brigade command, while maintaining such a tendency it will be necessary to use a fuel reserve (emergency reserve) to maintain the current level of combat activity and combat training, which is strictly prohibited by earlier orders of the Russian command.

In recent weeks, “MGB LNR” has become much more active in the sphere of work with unoccupied territories. Former employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the SSU, who previously came over to the service of the invaders, “suddenly” massively remembered their colleagues who remained faithful to Ukraine. The telephone calls from third parties with “transfer of greetings” and even attempts at personal contacts and “invitations to visit” are fixed. In general, there is a purposeful work on “restoring the useful connections” and an attempt at recruitment using the “personal factor”.

In Gorlovka, there is a conflict between the “MIA DNR” and the “MGB DNR”, which arose after the beating of two militants by unknown persons with the abduction of weapons from them. In particular, the conflict arose on the basis of various versions of what happened. Employees of the “Ministry of Internal Affairs” insist that this case, being far from single and it is purely criminal in nature and is caused by criminal activities in the city. In turn, the “MGB” in the fact of beating sees the activities of the Ukrainian underground, and is trying to use this case for the next large-scale events to “search Ukrainian special operation teams and pro-Ukrainian groups” in Gorlovka.

The leadership of the “Ministry of Health of the LNR” plans to conduct a comprehensive audit of the financial and economic activities of the medical sphere of the republic. Special attention will be paid to the distribution of “humanitarian supplies” received from the Russian Federation in 2015-2018. There are rumors among the employees of the “Ministry of Health of the LNR” and the staff of medical institutions that this check is caused by the high level of embezzlement of Russian assistance by the leaders of the “LNR” and the considerable dissatisfaction of the Russian curators with the absence of “kickbacks” from the stolen goods.

Representatives of the “Ministry of Education and Science of the LNR” are planning to check the pace of implementation of educational methods and standards of the Russian Federation in educational institutions in the occupied territory of the Lugansk region in the near future. In addition, there was given an unspoken instruction about the withdrawal of publications in the Ukrainian language from the library funds of educational institutions, with a view to reducing the influence of Ukrainian culture on children and young people of the “LNR”.

Recently, some leaders of the “DNR” of the middle rank are trying to obtain Russian citizenship by any means. At the moment, this “service” costs from 4 thousand US dollars.
