Operational data of the group “Information Resistance”

The number of shelling and armed provocations by the Russian occupation forces has decreased in the past few days in the Donbas (up to 5-8 shelling per day), but there is practically no fixed “harassing” fire. All attacks by the enemy are made in a targeted manner, according to previously known targets. Also, there is activity of the enemy in terms of regrouping and changing the operational structure of the occupation groups.

The armed provocations of the occupants are continuing in certain areas. In particular:

– North and north-west of Debaltsevo, the action of the raid infantry groups of militants in the neutral zone was marked with the support of mortar fire (82 mm mortars), anti-aircraft guns and heavy machine guns from the positions in the area of height 223.0, the villages of Logvinovo and Nizhnye Lozovoye. In addition, the enemy uses 120 mm mortars firing to the positions of the AFU south of Svetlodarsk;

– Incidental use of 120-mm mortars at the advanced positions of AFU in the area of Peski, Vodyanoe and south of Opytnoe is noted from the positions in the area of the village of Veseloe (DAP district). The mobile fire group of the invaders is acting in this area;

– The enemy conducts “duty” fire raids, including 120-mm mortars, along the advanced positions of the AFU east of Troitskoe and north-east of Novozvanovka (Novoaleksandrovka district).

The enemy continues to actively conduct aerial reconnaissance of the military formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 25 reconnaissance flights of the UAVs of the RF Armed Forces are recorded in the period from 21 to 27 February this year, including 9 flights of the UAV Orlan-10, which entered into the operational-tactical depth of the Ukrainian Armed Forces defense. At the same time, the enemy focused on the opening of the control system, as well as the identification of changes in the combat order of the AFU. The active activity of maneuverable EI groups (electronic intelligence) and EW (electronic warfare) of the enemy along the entire contact line continues to be noted.

The next unit of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (in the documents it is listed as a “group of Russian experts”) of aerial reconnaissance with using UAV arrived under control of the command of the “1^st Army Corps DNR”. The unit operates in the area of Donetsk and Gorlovka. Moving and placement is carried out with careful application of camouflage measures. Protection is provided by the unit of the GRU Special forces.

Within the winter training period, the occupants conduct combat training at the Primorsky training ground aimed at training the issues of conducting urban military operations, organizing checkpoints, as well as working out cooperation with the UAV reconnaissance units during actions.

In the temporarily occupied territories of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, the occupation command of the Russian troops completed the actions aimed at working out the issues of civil defense on the topic: “The actions of the management detachments and the functioning of the territorial subsystems of the unified emergency prevention and response system”. Moreover, the occupation command spent more 45 million rubles to carry out these actions in the territory of the “LNR” (the financing was carried out purposefully from the federal budget of the Russian Federation).

The integrated commission of the control agencies of the RF Armed Forces continues to function in units and subunits of 1^st and 2^nd Army Corps of the operational grouping of the Russian occupation forces, which carries out a purposeful check of the state of financial discipline, the organization of the services of logistics and armament, mobilization readiness, and compliance with the security control.

Confirmed losses of Russian occupation forces in the Donbass amounted to 17 people in the period from 20 to 26 February this year:

1^st Army Corps – 9^th separate assault mechanized regiment of naval infantry (Novoazovsk) – 7 servicemen, 5^th separate mechanized brigade (Makeyevka) – 3 servicemen, 11^th separate mechanized regiment (Makeyevka) – 1 serviceman;

2^nd Army Corps – 6^th separate mechanized regiment (Kadievka) – 1 serviceman, 2^nd separate mechanized brigade (Lugansk) – 3 servicemen, 4^th separate mechanized brigade (Alchevsk) – 1 serviceman, 7^th separate mechanized brigade (Bryanka) – 1 serviceman.

The occupation command fears the active actions of the AFU in the area of the Slavyanoserbsk. In the vicinity of the Smelyoe, Dolgoe and the southern part of the Slavyanoserbsk, there is a significant increase in the strength of the troops and armored vehicles of the invaders (in the southern part of Slavyanoserbsk, there are a dozen combat armored vehicles have been marked including BMP-1/2, MT-LB and several BTR-70 / 80, and up to 10 new combat armored vehicles near the Dolgoe).

In DNR, a complex check of the units of the 1^st Army Corps is conducted by the representatives of the FSB and the MoD of the Russian Federation in order to collect compromising data (facts of corruption, embezzlement of monetary and other resources, excess of authority, etc.) with respect to individual commanders of these units for further removal from positions, prosecution and replacement by new commanders (mainly from active officers of the RF Armed Forces). At the moment, such a check takes place in the “9^th separate assault mechanized regiment of 1^st Army Corps DNR” (Novoazovsk district).

The command of the “2^nd Army Corps LNR” urgently requires to observe the norms of the operation of armament and combat equipment from commanders of units and their technical supply officers, as well as to allow exclusively trained personnel to use them. The corresponding order says that recently there has been a breakdown of “separate units” of military equipment because of the unpreparedness of personnel allowed to operate them.

Militants from the “law enforcement authorities of the DNR” stepped up filtration activities among people living in the territory controlled by the “DNR” and having constant contacts or family ties in the territory controlled by Ukraine. At the same time, individuals whose relatives serve in the Security Service of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the National Guard, the National Police and other law enforcement agencies fall into a “special risk group”. There are separate cases of detention of such persons, their many hours of interrogation, including using psychological and physical methods.

The occupiers are intensely spreading rumors among the civilian population of Gorlovka that “punishers of the Right Sector and the Azov Regiment” arrived in the area of Novolugansk, Dolomitnoe and Holmovskoe with the purpose of carrying out “acts of terror and genocide”. What kinds of actions, according to the version of the invaders, the arriving “detachments of punishers” will conduct – is not specified.

March 2-3 this year, due to the initiative of the Donetsk Bulgarian cultural and educational society “Vozrozhdenie” with the support of the youth wing of the public organization “Oplot Donbasa ” – “Reserve of the Republic” and the Donetsk Center of the Institute of Oriental Studies named after A. Krymsky plans to hold a roundtable on “140 years since Bulgaria’s liberation from the Ottoman yoke in the Russian-Turkish war of 1877-1878” with the participation of “leaders of national-cultural societies” of the “DNR” in Donetsk. One of the goals of the event is to establish links with organizations of the Republic of Bulgaria for the mutual exchange of delegations and attempts to legalize DNR at the international level.
