IR summary: "2nd Army Corps LNR" formed 20 mobile fire groups, according to the order of the Russian command

Operational data of the group “Information Resistance”

Over the past week, Russian occupation forces in the Donbas have increased the intensity of fire strikes against positions of Ukrainian troops and settlements on the territory controlled by Ukraine. In total, the units of “1st Army Corps DNR” and “2nd Army Corps LNR” (operatively subordinated to the 8th Army of the Southern Military District of the RF Armed Forces) carried out about 150 fire raids (over the past week period – about 130) by 82/120-mm mortars, 122-mm MLRS “Grad”, 122-mm portable rocket launchers “Grad-P”, weapons of the combat armored vehicles (including tanks) during this period. The enemy most intensively fired on positions of the Ukrainian troops in the vicinity of the settlements Trekhizbenka, Novotoshkovskoe, Krymskoe, Kryakovka, Orekhovoe, Troitskoe, Novoaleksandrovka, Zaitsevo, Avdeevka, Opytnoe, Peski, Starognatyevka, Talakovka, Vodyanoe and Shirokino.

There is a frankly provocative nature of the shelling, with the aim of provoking and recording a retaliatory fire of Ukrainian troops, on a number of sites.

During the last 24 hours, the following irregularities were noted in the shelling by the occupiers:

– Enemy units were activated in the area of the Svetlodarskaya arc. From the positions south of the height 223, the invaders, using a pair of 82-mm mortars of the type 2B14 “Tray”, repeatedly opened fire on the advanced positions of the AFU south of Svetlodarsk. The shelling was conducted from mortars “in the complex” with large-caliber machine guns;

– The occupants also actively used 82-mm mortars in a number of sectors. The shelling was conducted from the forest plant southwest of the Yasinovatai-2 railway station, in the area of the “Bahmut Route” and on the positions of the AFU east of Lebedinskoe (from landings to the west of Sakhanka);

– On the seaside direction, a new mobile fire group of the enemy was recorded near Piszhevik. It fired by the 120-mm mortars along the front of one of the forward stronghold points of the AFU to the north of this settlement. In particular, this mobile group moved from the area of Verkhneshirokovskoe (formerly October), and after the shelling pulled back to the same area;

– A similar mobile fire group of the enemy operates in the Novozvanovka area. Also, to attack the advanced positions of the APU south-east of Novozvanovka, the invaders used BMP-1, which, maneuvering along the front, fired from the standard cannon, and then withdrew to the rear of its combat formations. Actions of BMP were covered with intense machine gun fire.

In order to increase the intensity and effectiveness of fire strikes against the positions of Ukrainian troops, and in accordance with the decision of the Commander of the 8th Army of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, about 20 mobile reconnaissance and fire groups formed in the “2nd Army Corps LNR”, which include artillery armament, reconnaissance means (including UAVs) and communication facilities.

The command of the Russian occupation forces continues to purposefully obstruct the activities of the representatives of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission. Thus, the command “9th separate assault mechanized regiment of 1st Army Corps DNR” forbade visiting the territory of its military facility, the “Markino” training area, for the representatives of the CMM OSCE. Also, the command “3rd separate mechanized brigade” and “7th separate mechanized brigade” of the occupation forces was informed in advance from unknown sources about the plans of the representatives of the CMM OSCE to monitor the movement of weapons and military equipment in their area of responsibility, which enabled them to carry out measures to mask heavy weapons in advance and impose limits on its movement.

Due to deterioration of weather conditions, the enemy was forced to reduce the intensity of conducting aerial reconnaissance of the combat formations of AFU using UAVs. For example, only 3 reconnaissance flights of UAV were recorded during the period from October 31 to November 6 of this year. At the same time, , there is an increase in the activities of the enemy’s special operation teams in a number of sectors aimed to recognition of the combat orders of the AFU, as well as conducting reconnaissance and sabotage actions in the territory controlled by Ukraine.

The next fact of subordination of “1st Army Corps DNR” and “2nd Army Corps LNR” units to the Russian command is the training of military specialists of the most specific specialties in training centers on the territory of the Russian Federation. Thus, it has been established that UAV operators from “1st Army Corps DNR” and “2nd Army Corps LNR” are trained at the 4th Center for Combat Application and Training of the Air Force of the Russian Federation in Lipetsk, Russia.

To ensure the terrorist activity of units and formations of “1st Army Corps DNR” and “2nd Army Corps LNR”, about 2,900 tons of fuel were delivered from the territory of Russia during the last week: about 1,500 tons to the railway station Krasnaya Mohila and about 1,400 tons to the railway station Ilovaysk.

Over the past days, the network of the IS group has recorded the following redeployments of forces and means of the invaders:

– Invaders redeployed 4 tanks of the T-64 type escorted by 1 BRM-1K and trucks Ural through Guselshchikovo to the northern direction;

– A convoy, which was consisting of 8 trucks Kamaz and Ural, 2 BTR-70/80 and 1 BRDM-2, was fixed between Khartsyzk and Makeyevka;

– 4 units of the 122 mm installation of the MLRS Grad, escorted by military traffic police and two trucks Ural, entered to the settlement Khrustalny (former Krasny Luch) from the northern direction;

– 2 units of 120-mm mortars by trucks Ural and 1 unit of ZU-23-2 AD system redeployed from Kadievka (former Stakhanov) through Golubovka (formerly Kirovsk) to the area of “Bakhmut Route”.

Invaders actively conduct a screen of “candidates for service” in “100th separate mechanized brigade” and “9th separate mechanized regiment of marine infantry” of the “1st Army Corps DNR”. Attempts to conduct recruitment in educational institutions and enterprises don’t have a success. A shortage of personnel remains in a number of subdivisions of these units (in particular, in artillery units, in special units – the signal company and etc.) – an average of 30-40% of the nominal strength.

The effectiveness report of personnel is in progress in a number of units and subunits of “1st Army Corps DNR”. As a result of inspection, documents are being prepared for the dismissal of a significant number of civilian personnel in the rear services (mostly women). These measures caused a serious negative resonance among civilian “employees” who are in the service in the “1st Army Corps DNR”.

The so-called “Intelligence Directorate of the Republican Guard DNR” implements another large-scale operation for the infiltration of agents into the regions of Donbass that are controlled by Ukraine. Three main methods are used: a “refugee – migrant” (rarely used), “deserted militant” and “moved to relatives”.

The leader of the “LNR” Plotnitskiy continues the personnel reshuffle in the top management of the “LNR”, replacing the unwanted “officials” with those who are more loyal to him. So, the information about Plotnitskiy’s plans to dismiss Tihonskaya from the post of deputy chairman of the “Council of Ministers of LNR” in the near future and appoint Zaporozhtseva (currently the deputy head of the “administration of the head of the LNR”) is spreading among the higher “officials of LNR”.
