11.08.2017 – Operational data of the group “Information Resistance”
In the course of shelling and provocation by the Russian occupation forces in the Donbass, small arms continue to be actively used, including large-caliber machine guns and sniper rifles, hand and heave mounted grenade launchers, 82-mm mortars and anti-aircraft missile systems ZU-23-2. In addition, 120-mm mortars, light armored vehicles and ATGMs were used by the invaders. Three attempts were made to use the UAV of tactical level by the enemy to conduct reconnaissance of the forward edge and combat formations of Ukrainian troops to tactical depths, as well as the work of two EW / RTR stations of the enemy was fixed.
From the position northeast of the village Pavlopol, at least a couple of 120-mm mortars of the enemy were connected to the firing of the advanced positions of the UAF in the area between Pavlopol and Pishchevik (the firing was conducted from large-caliber machine guns and heavy grenade launchers by occupants). The shooters were obviously newcomers, or the enemy’s mortar squads were in an inadequate state. After 6 units of 120-mm mines, which were fired inaccurately and with a wide spread on the advanced positions of the UAF east of Pavlopol, the occupiers tried to portray a kind of fire maneuver (they tried to carry over the shelling on the positions of UAF east of the Pishchevik). The attempt failed, and the next 8 mines were broken by a chain in the fields on the neutral strip.
Another example of the enemy’s use of 120-mm mortars was also recorded in Mariupol direction, on the section between Vodyanoe and Shirokino. Here, the invaders acted according to the usual “camouflage” scheme. During the firing at the positions of the UAF from 82-mm mortars, they twice used the 120-mm mortar from the position behind of Sakhanka (In total, they fired 12 120 mm mines at the positions of the UAF in the area of Vodyanoe and northeast of Shirokino). Apparently, the occupants used these camouflage “tricks”, because the representatives of the CMM OSCE were presented in this area.
In the course of firing at the positions of the UAF in the vicinity of the CP № 29 and south-east (the area of Krymskoe) from heavy mounted grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small automatic weapons, the enemy fired from the ATGM 9K111 “Fagot” at the positions of the UAF.
During the firing of the advanced stronghold points and Ops of the UAF, up to five shots were fired from the regular 73-mm cannon 2A28 “Grom” of BMP-1 in the area of the air shaft of the Putilovskaya mine (the mine Butovka).

The command of the 1st Army Corps DNR, taking advantage of the lack of fire from the UAF, is intensively replenishing the reserves of material and technical means in the advanced units in the western and north-western part of Donetsk. For a day, 4 army trucks and a civil fuel tanker passed through Kosarev Street towards the base of the so-called battalion “Patriot”. 2 MT-LB, 1 BRDM-2M and 3 trucks Ural, loaded with boxes and barrels, moved to the south of the Dagestanskaya Street towards the private buildings in the southern part of Staromikhaylovka.
The command of the 2nd Army Corps LNR continues to strengthen the units of the 14th battalion “Prizrak”, occupying positions in the “Zhelobok corner”, by manpower and assets of the 2nd separate mechanized brigade through Golubovka (formerly Kirovsk). On the north-eastern outskirts in the twilight, there was a transfer of 4 combat armored vehicles (2 BMP-1, 1 BRM-1K and 1 MT-LB) and 2 trucks Ural, which were moved towards Donetsk. Earlier, during the period of “escalation near Zhelobok”, the occupiers strengthened this area with live force and armored vehicles (as the IS group reported earlier – the arrival of the RTG, reinforced with a tank platoon), and left these forces and assets on this site in disguised positions behind the “Bahmut route” in beams and copses. In the area of Golubovskoe and Dachnoye, cannon artillery and 120 mm mortars of occupants are also fixed (also in disguised positions). Given these facts and the current transfers, it is quite possible that the command of the 2nd Army Corps LNR creates a certain tactical strike group in this sector with a further attempt to solve the “problem of Bakhmut route”. It means to cut off the bridgehead of Ukrainian troops near Krymskoe, attacking the positions of the UAF near Svetlichnoe and Prichepilovka and pressed units of the UAF, which defending near the Krymskoe, to the river Severskiy Donets. In this connection, the analysts of IR group are alarmed by the current arrival of the so-called “verification commission” from the enlisted personnel of the RF Armed Forces TO the location of the 2nd separate mechanized brigade of the 2nd Army Corps LNR. It is quite possible that the Russian officers under the legend of “inspection” came to prepare such an offensive operation of the invaders.
After carrying out a number of inspections in subordinate units and subunits, the command of the 2nd Army Corps LNR came to the conclusion that “… in separate units, the food reserves are less than for 1 day ration, whereas it should be in the state of current allowance not less than for 3 -4 days ration … and not less than 6 days of emergency ration for the case of mobilization reinforcement. The main shortage of food is in the form of meat and fish canned food and cereals. Commanders and superiors cannot be explained the reasons for the needlessness. This situation caused an extremely negative reaction of the Russian “advisers” in the headquarters of the 2nd Army Corps LNR. During a meeting on this issue, one of them stated that (quote) “this circus can very badly end.”
In Donetsk, Gorlovka, Makeyevka and a number of other settlements in the occupied areas of Donetsk region, the representatives of the command of the units of the 1st Army Corps DNR (OC “Donetsk”) warned the leadership of local civilian medical institutions that “if necessary” the part of the fund of these medical institutions will be instantly “requisitioned for military needs”, including medicines, plasma, dressings and hemostatic materials, part of medical equipment, etc.
At the same time, in the 1st Army Corps DNR and 2nd Army Corps LNR, the command of the occupiers states “difficulties” with the provision of “modern Russian communication assets”. In the main (especially at the tactical level), the militants use low-power imported communication equipment delivered by Russian so-called “volunteers”, which, in the opinion of the command of the invaders, are listened by the UAF without any problems. Deliveries of significant quantities of military communications from the Russian Federation are still only fragmentary; the availability of modern satellite communications in the units of the invaders is generally very rare. Particular concern for the command is the fact of the delivery of armored vehicles from the Russian Federation, which is not manned (decommissioned) with modern assets of communication. In this regard, it is stated that the militants themselves are carrying out certain works on the basis of “local capacities”, but in full measure this “does not solve the problem”. In the appeal of the command of the “Army Corps” of the invaders to the command of the Russian 8th Combined-Arms Army, the superiority of the UAF in comparison with the occupation forces in the Donbass by means of communication is stated, and the request is raised to push up this issue to the level of the General Staff of the RF Armed Forces.
In Donetsk, for at least the last two months, the “DNR militants are searching for persons from among the former employees of the flight service of the “Donetsk International Airport Sergei Prokofiev ” company, which have specific knowledge and skills in the organization of control over air space. The search for such employees is coordinated by the “advisers” from the FSB of the Russian Federation in the MGB DNR. The purpose of the searches is unknown.
In the DNR, wage arrears to «state employees of the DNR» and other employees of the «budgetary sphere» at the moment are 11.8 million rubles. According to the “Main Department of Statistics of the DNR”, only in June-July this year, this indicator increased by 7%. This situation is caused by the shortage of “budgetary funds” and the unwillingness of the Russian side to transfer additional money to pay off arrears on wages on the pretext that the funds prescribed in the “budget of the DNR” for 2017 come from the Russian Federation on time and in full, therefore arrears are solely the responsibility Leadership of the DNR.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the DNR” in pursuance of the instructions of the curators from the FSB of the Russian Federation and A. Zakharchenko, intensified the work on the creation of the so-called “Representative offices of the republic” in the EU countries. Currently, the “Ministry” is organizing the opening of the “Representative office of the DNR in France” (Marseilles) until September 1 this year.
