Ukrainian Association of the Blind Terrorized Repeatedly in Luhansk and Donetsk

According to “Information Resistance” operational data, representatives of both the Luhansk and Donetsk People’s Republic terrorist organizations commit illegal actions against the visually impaired living in Donbas.

Pro-Russian insurgents continuously loot the premises of the UTOS [Ukrainian Association of the Blind], destroy jobs for people with disabilities, and take both equipment and transportation from the Association of the Blind premises.

In particular, one of the leaders of the Association which employed the visually impaired, was kidnapped by terrorists and kept in the basement, demanding he sign documents requiring the voluntary transfer of UTOS property to the disposal of the Luhansk People’s Republic. After numerous threats, employees’ families were forced to leave the territory of the Luhansk Oblast [region] for safer regions of Ukraine.
