According to operational data from Information Resistance, the Russian occupiers in Crimea exercised a powerful opposition to the mourning rallies by the Crimean Tatars, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the deportation.
Similar peaceful actions are taking place in various cities in Crimea, according to our data, with over 60 thousand Crimean Tatars participating.
The largest rally was held in Simferopol—it was attended by about 20 thousand people. Included are those who arrived from Kerch, Dzhankoy, Bakhchisaray, Alushta, etc.
Crimean police and riot police who arrived from Krasnodar OMON strongly opposed the arrival of the participants of the peaceful rallies to mark the 70th anniversary of the deportation from Simferopol. On highways at the entrance to the city, reinforced posts were set out. Under various pretexts, drivers of vehicles carrying Crimean Tatars were subject to protocols that were marked attempts to arrest citizens under false pretenses.
According to our information, posts on the highways received advance information from the FSB of the Russian Federation about motor vehicles transporting Crimean Tatars.
